Disposal Stage: Modules C2 and C3 The disposal transport of the product system at End-of-Life and the energy recovery of the product are considered in these modules. Credits: Module D The value streams arising from the disposal processes in Modules A5 and C3 are shown in this module. The credits come only from the energy recovery processes for packaging and product disposal. Reference area The LCA was generated for the reference area Germany. In other words, the LCA took into consideration the production processes under these boundary conditions along with preliminary stages such as the provision of electricity or energy sources that are relevant to Germany.
Technical purpose of product or process The DESCOR® stretch ceiling solutions are suitable: for the renovation and restoration of ceilings and walls (e.g., covering up discoloration, pipes and conduits, old suspended ceilings, etc.) and for the beautification and refinement of rooms through the use of top-quality, attractively shaped DESCOR® elements.DESCOR® PREMIUM can be installed only by trained experts.

General comment on data set With its DESCOR® PREMIUM product line, PONGS offers technical solutions for interior fittings and wall or ceiling coverings. The technical textiles in the new DESCOR® PREMIUM series by PONGS are suitable for equipping both object spaces and private rooms. The declared product, consisting of polyester (PES) and polyurethane (PU) textiles, is permanently installed on ceilings and walls. DESCOR® PREMIUM complies with the fire protection regulations in Germany and the European Union (EU). DESCOR® stretch ceilings are installed in a specially developed PVC profile. The profile frame is fastened to a supporting structure or substructure on site. DESCOR® PREMIUM high-tech stretch ceilings satisfy the toughest technical requirements and will not crack or tear. The product is available in a range of color variants. Furthermore, with the product DESCOR® PREMIUM Design, customers can order wall coverings (up to five meters wide) printed with their own designs.

Technology description including background system A polyester-based multi-bar warp knotted textile that serves as the basic material is produced in widths of 320 to 520 cm. The textiles go through several finishing processes that have been specially adapted for the product's later purpose. The raw fabric is first washed, thermoset and pre-fitted. Finally, it is coated on both surfaces. At this point the material properties are defined anew. The product is subject to continuous in-house quality monitoring during the entire manufacturing process.
